Our Dustless Refinishing Process, Step by Step
- Walk-through and quote. We look at your floors, talk about the look you want, and give you a free written quote.
- Check the wood. We check the type of wood, how much wood is left to sand, and the moisture level. This tells us the safest way to work.
- Prep the room. We move furniture if you ask us to, and we cover doorways and areas we aren't working on.

- Pick your color. We put stain samples right on your floor, so you see the real color before we commit. You can also skip stain and keep the natural wood.
- Apply the finish. We put down several coats of finish, with a light buff between coats for a smooth feel. The finish is what protects your floor from feet, paws, and sun.
- Final walk-through. We check every room with you and go over how to care for your new floors.

Most families stay home while we work. Here's what to plan for:
- Walking on it: Stay off the floor for at least 24 hours after the last coat. Socks only at first.
- Furniture: Wait about 72 hours before moving furniture back. Use felt pads on every leg.
- Rugs: Wait about 2 weeks. The finish keeps hardening under the surface.
- Pets: Plan a spot for dogs and cats away from the work area, and keep them off the new finish until it's ready.
